DDN on the Internet: a proposal

The purpose of this memo is to demonstrate some of the work I've been doing within the library archive and intranet which I believe could be the basis for a much improved representation of DDN on the public Internet.
I realize we have to be careful about our relationship with CIM and that we can't afford to put a lot of DDN staff time on web projects. But I think we can accomplish a great deal within the scope of our archive site and the main "DDN.com" page, complementing Active Dayton and not competing with it. And I think we can do it without creating new staff positions.

The samples shown below are all linked to their actual pages on the intranet. Please take a few moments to view some of these pages.

Enterprise stories
-- giving our best work a better ride

One thing that frustrates me about our current website is that while our enterprise work is available on the day it is published and for a brief time afterwards, these stories quickly disappear. Anyone looking for even a recent series like Voices of History will not easily find it, and earlier series are not there at all (except in the general archive).
The work we value most should stay out there, easy to find by browsing a list. In the Library, we try to give special treatment to all enterprise work. For example, see our versions of Children of the Dream, Opening Doors, Historic Treasures, Equal Work, Dog Days or Unnecessary Danger..
Most enterprise work published in the past year has been treated in this manner.
