Springfield auto dealer Monte Zinn was sentenced to two years' probation and a $1,500 fine on 1-12-96 for conspiring to falsify visa documents to help Fijian citizens illegally enter the United States.

Zinn, the largest auto dealer in Clark County, pleaded guilty in July 1995 to one count of conspiracy to obtain and use an immigration visa procured by means of a false statement.
Zinn sponsored people from Fiji to attend college in the U.S. and to work at his dealership. The investigation began in 1991 when one student complained that Zinn made unwanted sexual advances toward him. Zinn denied that allegation.
