Lloyd Lewis Jr. was elected to the Dayton City Commission on Nov. 4, 1997, and took office Jan. 5, 1997. Lewis was in his second term in the Ohio House of Representatives when he was elected and will resign his seat to take the city post. He has also served on the Downtown DaytonPartnership and the housing committee of the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission. He is a former Dayton assistant city manager and retiredDayton Power and Light Co. executive. Born Nov. 17, 1926, Lloyd Lewis is the son of Lloyd Lewis Sr., who was director of the West Fifth Street YMCA in the early 1930s and later was an educator,business owner, civic leader and trustee of Central State University. |
