WSU'S FLACK TO PERFORM AT CONFERENCE

On Oct. 7, Dr. Harley E. Flack made his debut as Wright State University's fourth president.

Today and Saturday Flack will show off his talents as a pianist and composer at WSU's fifth National Conference on the Future Shape of Black Religion.\

Flack, a cousin of singer Roberta Flack, will play mostly jazz gospel music. He wrote all nine songs.

His Friday selections will include I Will Pray, with soloist Larry Elliott, I Want To See Jesus, with soloist Noelette Hutton, and The Greatest Love, which will be sung by Janice Chandler.

Other compositions by Flack are He's Coming Back, Friend, Just Call Him, Jesus Touched My Broken Heart, Baptismal Suite and He Shall Lead Us Gently Home.

HOW TO GO

* What: Jazz gospel music composed and performed by Dr. Harley E. Flack, president of Wright State University.

* Where: Today at Wayman AME Church, 3317 Hoover Ave. Saturday in the Medical Science Auditorium at Wright State University.

* When: 6:45 to 7:15 today and 1 to 1:15 p.m. Saturday.

* Cost: Free and open to the public.
