 DDN photy by Wally Nelson | Phyllis Brzozowska was one of the founders of Cityfolk, Dayton's traditional and ethnic arts organization, and she served as its executive director from 1981 until the end of 1997. Brzozowska announced in December 1997 that she was stepping down as executive director, but would stay on as artistic director and consultant until June 1998 while the organization searches for her replacement. In 1980 Brzozowska and four others launched Cityfolk with grants from the Ohio Arts Council and the Ohio Humanities Council. |
