The U.S. Air and Trade Show

Financial troubles and reorganization:

The 1994 show was marginally profitable, but in 1995 the show lost nearly $100,000. In November 1995 the board of trustees reorganized the show, relinquishing management and marketing to contractors.
Show President Henry Ogrodzinski and Executive Director James Wood resigned as a result.
On Jan. 9, 1996 the show received a financial boost with the announcement of a $100,000 anonymous donation and a $250,000 Montgomery County Economic Development/Government Equity grant.

On 1-25-96 the Daily News reported that there would be no trade show in 1996. The air show would go on as scheduled, July 20-21, but the trade show would be merged with an aerospace and defense technology conference in 1997.
