Dayton Daily News LibraryThe disappearance of Erica Baker | At 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, nine-year-old Erica Baker was reported missing. She was last seen when she went to walk her dog near the Kettering Recreation Center. Erica, a third-grader at Indian Riffle Elementary School, is the daughter of Greg Baker, 33, of Huber Heights and Melissa "Misty" Baker, 31, of Kettering.She is 3-foot-11 and weighs 65 pounds. She has blonde hair and hazel eyes. Rescue workers drained the pond at the rec center and launched a massive search of the area, but found no trace of the girl. After five days investigators called off the search and began concentrating on an abduction investigation. |
