Kim Goldenberg -- president of Wright State University Dr. Kim Goldenberg was appointed president of Wright State University on April 9, 1998, following the death of the previous president, Harley Flack. Goldenberg, WSU's fifth president, had been dean of the university's medical school since 1990 and had been one of two finalists for the president's post in December 1993 when Flack was chosen. Because of that history and because of Flack's death from cancer while in office, WSU trustees decided not to conduct a protracted national search, nor to name Goldenber as interim or acting president. Goldenberg came to Wright State in 1983 as an assistant professor of medicine. He served as associate dean for studentsand curriculum from 1989-90. His salary was set at $205,000. | DDN photo by Jim Witmer |
