DDN Library Intranet, 1995-1999

The first web browser I remember working with was "Mosaic," which was developed in 1992 by a couple of guys at the University of Illinois for the purpose of viewing pages on the new World Wide Web. By 1994, a commercial version was released as Netscape 1.0, and I used that when building early versions of the Dayton Daily News Intranet.

In those days there had been a trend of "unplugged" concerts in which rock stars sat on stools playing acoustic guitars, and so I named the first version of my site "Plugged In."

Below is a (mostly) fully functioning copy of the intranet project as it existed at the end of 1999, when I left the Daily News for a different job.
