Resta Dario

Though born in Italy, Dario Resta grew up in England and there began his racing career. In the 1915 Indianapolis 500, he finished second, just behind Ralph DePalma.

The following year, Resta was the winner of the 1916 race.

He retired from driving for a few years, but came back in 1923 at age 39 and drove in his third and final Indy 500, coming in 14th. The following year he was killed in a racing accident in England.
