Tamika Williams
-- former Chaminade-Julienne basketball star

By then end of her senior year at Chaminade-Julienne High School in 1998, Tamika Williams was the most decorated high school athlete to come out of Dayton.
The 6-foot-1 forward was named Ohio's Ms. Basketball by the Associated Press and had collected five National Player of the Year awards and had been featured in Sports Illustrated and Parade magazine.
Perhaps the most recruited girls player in the nation, Williams eventually accepted a scholarship to the University of Connecticut.  During her final regular season at C-J, Williams averaged 18.8 points, 11.6 rebounds, five assists and 3.2 steals per game while playing less than 20 minutes a game.
She scored 28 points in the semifinal game against Toledo Central Catholic March 20, including the final game-winning basket.
C-J lost the championship game Pinkerington 44-27, but Williams scored all but three of the C-J points.
Tamika, the daughter of George and Jo Williams of west Dayton, went on to play for the University of Connecticut.
