Judge John W. Kessler

| Judge John W. Kessler was first elected to the bench in 1980. He was uncontested for re-election in 1986 and 1992.|
He was elected administrative judge ofgeneral division of common pleas court September 1994 and served the maximum three year term, stepping down from the post at the end of 1997.
Born in Dayton, Kessler graduated from Miami University (1965), and the University of Toledo School of Law (1968).
Judge Kessler has presided over several high- profile cases, including those of Ted Sinks and Therressa Jolynn Ritchie . He also presided over the class action lawsuit stemming from a 1986 train derailment in Miamisburg.
