Russell Carollo, 44, spent more than 18 months examining aviation safety in the military. Carollo has been a projects reporter for the Dayton Daily News for eight years.
He has also worked at newspapers in Tacoma, Wash., Spokane, Wash., and Jackson, Miss. He is a native of New Orleans and has a journalism degree from Louisiana State University. Carollo has won numerous journalism awards, including journalism's highest honor.
In 1998, he was one of two Daily News reporters awarded the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting for a series on military medicine. |
